28th November | Club Clean Up Dive | George Town

Join us for the 2026 Catch it in the Catchment & Community BBQ.

This is a free event. Please register by completing a $0 purchase so we can plan accordingly for all divers.

When: Saturday, 28 November 2026

Location: Meet at the George Town Yacht Club.

Time: 2:00 PM for briefing. Please be ready by the time.

Briefing: Divers will be allocated locations to dive depending on their skill level. Locations including the Avon, Monument, The Pontoons and Kelso (by boat). 

BBQ: Free BBQ for all participants* and the Yacht Club with drinks available for purchase from the Bar. *Please register for catering.

Who: Instructor Jason, certified divers and surface support are welcome

Scuba Gear: Bring your own equipment or hire gear from Tas Divers. Club divers hire rate at the daily rate. Free fill or tank hire** for all Club divers. Please arrange any hire equipment before the dive. **one tank per diver.  

This dive site has a maximum depth of 18 m. Please dive within your certification level and ability. 

Carrying an SMB is required and torch recommended.

Catch it in the Catchment is a collaborative effort between the people of the Kanamaluka/Tamar region, including community groups, schools, councils and key organisations such as Clean Up Australia and ReThink Waste Tasmania. During Catch it in the Catchment week, participants collect litter in areas adjacent to local waterways to prevent further pollution in the catchment. This litter is weighed and audited to better understand littering habits and gauge the event’s positive impact on our environment.
