Do you feel the cold? Want to dive all year round, nice and warm? Then dive dry! Diving in a drysuit seals off the water around you, keeping you dry and warm whilst you dive. But it's important to learn the skills to keep you safe whilst diving in a drysuit.

Course Outline | 3 components | 1-2 days

  1. Knowledge Development (Online Study): understand the principles of drysuit diving and how to best utilise your equipment
  2. Confined water: practice and refine your diving in a drysuit
  3. Ocean Dives: master your drysuit in the ocean

Topics/Skills

  • Drysuit style and accompanying undergarments
  • How to care for your drysuit
  • Putting on / taking off your drysuit with minimal assistance
  • Mastering buoyancy control using your drysuit
  • Dive safety procedures when using a drysuit

Prerequisites 

  • PADI Open Water Diver certification or equivalent qualification from another training agency
  • Minimum age of 12 years. Student divers between 12-14yo earn the PADI Junior Rescue Diver certification
  • Your own drysuit

Every PADI Specialty certification you earn gets you one step closer to becoming a Master Scuba Diver. This elite rating is achieved by only 2% of divers.

Scuba diving requires a minimum level of health and fitness. Chronic health conditions, certain medications and/or recent surgery may require you to get written approval from a physician before diving.

Please review the Diver Medical Form before enrolling in a scuba course. If you answer 'Yes' to any of the questions, you must see a doctor and present a dive medical/clearance to dive before we can accept you onto the course.
