Join Tas Divers for the Northern Seastar Cleanup – 17 October

Be part of an important marine conservation initiative and help protect the critically endangered Spotted Handfish by joining Tas Divers for the Invasive Northern Pacific Seastar Cleanup on Saturday, 17 October.

To make the trip easy for our Northern members and friends, we've organised a charter bus with 45 seats available. 

Event Includes:

• 🚌 Return charter bus transport from the Launceston area (exact pickup location to be confirmed)
• ⌚7am pickup
• 🤿 Free scuba tank hire
• 🍽️ Lunch stop on the return journey
• 🌊 The opportunity to participate in a community-led conservation dive removing invasive Northern Pacific Seastars from local waters.

Cost

$55 per person (includes return bus transport and scuba tank).

Whether you're an experienced diver or simply passionate about protecting our underwater environment, this is a fantastic opportunity to give back while enjoying a great day out with fellow divers.

Southern Divers – Meet Us at Nutgrove Beach

If you're based in Southern Tasmania, we'd love for you to join us at Nutgrove Beach and be part of this important conservation event. Simply make your own way to the meeting point, gear up, and dive alongside fellow Tas Divers and volunteers as we work together to remove invasive Northern Pacific Seastars from the Spotted Handfish habitat.

Whether you're travelling on the bus from the North or meeting us in the South, every diver makes a difference. Your efforts directly contribute to protecting one of Tasmania's rarest marine species and preserving its fragile habitat for future generations.
