The SSI Stress & Rescue Diver course is one of the most challenging and rewarding steps in your diving journey — and one of the most important.

You'll learn how to recognise and prevent diving accidents before they occur, manage emergencies underwater and at the surface, and assist other divers in distress. The best rescue is the one that never happens — and this course teaches you exactly that.

Course Outline | 3 Components | 2 Days

  1. Digital Learning (Online Study): understand and recognise diver emergencies and learn rescue techniques at your own pace
  2. Pool Training: practice rescue exercises and emergency scenarios in confined water
  3. Ocean Dives: apply and consolidate all rescue skills and emergency scenarios in the ocean

Medical Requirements

Scuba diving requires a minimum level of health and fitness. Chronic health conditions, certain medications and/or recent surgery may require you to get written approval from a physician before diving.

Please review the Diver Medical Form before enrolling in a scuba course. If you answer 'Yes' to any of the questions, you must see a doctor and present a dive medical/clearance to dive before we can accept you onto the course.
