The SSI Night & Limited Visibility Diver specialty program gives you the skills and confidence to explore the ocean after dark — safely, calmly and with total control.

You've dived a site a dozen times — but have you dived it at night? After the sun goes down, the underwater world transforms completely. Day creatures retreat, nocturnal animals emerge and the beam of your dive light reveals a world most divers never see. Night diving in Tasmania is a genuinely unforgettable experience.

Course Outline | 2 Components | 2 Nights | 2 Dives

  1. Digital Learning (Online Study): understand the principles of night diving and limited visibility conditions at your own pace
  2. Ocean Dives: 2 night ocean dives run over 2 nights (not always consecutive)

Scuba diving requires a minimum level of health and fitness. Chronic health conditions, certain medications and/or recent surgery may require you to get written approval from a physician before diving.

Please review the Diver Medical Form before enrolling in a scuba course. If you answer 'Yes' to any of the questions, you must see a doctor and present a dive medical/clearance to dive before we can accept you onto the course.
