The SSI Divemaster program is the first step in an exciting professional diving career.

As a Divemaster intern with Tas Divers, you'll complete a hands-on internship alongside our instructor team β€” gaining real-world experience teaching people to scuba dive, perfecting your own skills, and learning what it takes to lead and supervise divers professionally.

This qualification is widely recognised for employment in the dive industry across Tasmania and around the world.

Medical Requirements

Scuba diving requires a minimum level of health and fitness. Chronic health conditions, certain medications and/or recent surgery may require you to get written approval from a physician before diving.

Please review the Diver Medical Form before enrolling in a scuba course. If you answer 'Yes' to any of the questions, you must see a doctor and present a dive medical/clearance to dive before we can accept you onto the course.
