MORE INFORMATION:
The Maldives is made up of a stunning group of atolls that play host to an underwater paradise. Brimming with marine wildlife the sighƟngs in the Maldives are world-class. Nestled in the warm tropical waters of the Indian Ocean, the Maldives is home to over 1200 Ɵny, low-lying coral islands. \
Generously opulent in marine life and recognized as one of the world’s most diverse and spectacular marine ecosystems, the vast range of dive sites in the Maldives provides something for everyone. There is a wide variety of diving on offer from coral reefs and pinnacles (Thila and Giri) to exciƟng larger channel driŌ dives. Divers have the opportunity to see a huge range of beauƟful hard and soŌ corals as well as the potential to dive with manta rays, whale sharks, sharks, turtles, barracudas, jacks, and tuna.
M/V Blue Voyager was built specifically for divers, welcoming 26 guests on board in spacious cabins with a/c and ensuite facilities, as well as modern comforts such as a jacuzzi. The ocean deck is a unique feature allowing guests to relax in the open air while close to the water. On many evenings the floodlights will illuminate the water just off the ocean deck to attract plankton which brings the manta rays and whale sharks. There have been many close sightings of feeding mantas and whale sharks. Have your camera ready.
One of the most outstanding features of this vessel is the custom-built dhoni (diving support vessel) Blue Shadow. This 19m dhoni is spacious, fast, and equipped with all the modern conveniences that divers want. Each diver has their own station with plenty of space to store their gear and kit up, and the dhoni crew is ready to assist.
During the journeys to and from the dive sites, you can ascend the small stairs to the top deck to enjoy the sun and stunning views. There is a toilet with a shower located inside the main deck plus two handheld showers on the back deck, and separate camera and equipment rinse tanks. A fast engine, two generators and two compressors with a nitrox membrane system mean you will enjoy a first-rate diving experience in the Maldives.
