The PADI Underwater Navigator course fine-tunes your observation skills and teaches you to more accurately use your compass underwater. Course Outline | 2 components | 2 days

  1. Knowledge Development (Online Study): understand the principles of navigating underwater
  2. Ocean Dives: 3 x open water dives

Topics/Skills

  • Using a diving compass
  • Estimate distance underwater
  • Navigate making multiple turns
  • Employing natural navigation skills, alongside compass work to navigate an unknown dive site
  • Marking or relocating a submerged object or position from surface
  • Underwater mapping

Prerequisites 

  • PADI Open Water Diver certification or equivalent qualification from another training agency
  • Minimum age of 10 years

Every PADI Specialty certification you earn gets you one step closer to becoming a Master Scuba Diver. This elite rating is achieved by only 2% of divers.

Scuba diving requires a minimum level of health and fitness. Chronic health conditions, certain medications and/or recent surgery may require you to get written approval from a physician before diving.

Please review the Diver Medical Form before enrolling in a scuba course. If you answer 'Yes' to any of the questions, you must see a doctor and present a dive medical/clearance to dive before we can accept you onto the course.
