Be Prepared

Become a PADI Rescue Diver

WHAT'S INVOLVED?

The PADI Rescue Diver course teaches you how to deal with dive emergencies, both major and minor. We use knowledge development, rescue training exercises and open water scenarios to teach you how to recognise diver emergencies, as well as techniques which you can use to respond to those emergencies.

The Course has three main components usually run over a weekend.

  1. Knowledge Development (Online Study) – Understand and recognise diver emergencies and learn about different rescue techniques.

  2. Pool Training – Practice rescue exercises and scenarios in confined water.

  3. Ocean Dives – Practice your new skills and all emergency scenarios in the ocean.

Some of the topics covered during the weekend are:

  • Self-rescue

  • Recognising and managing stress in other divers

  • Emergency management and equipment

  • Search & recovery of missing divers

Specialty Training

PADI Rescue Diver

The PADI Rescue Diver course will expand your knowledge and experience level.

Rescue Divers learn to look beyond themselves and consider the safety and well being of other divers.

We often hear “demanding and challenging” from divers taking the course, but in the end most will say it is the best course they have ever done.
