Catch it in the Catchment - Cleanup event
Join us on a cleanup dive at one of George Town's popular fishing spots! We hope to collect any lost fishing gear and keep our backyard clean so we can continue to enjoy all that the kanamaluka/Tamar estuary has to offer!
Time & Location
11 Nov, 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
George Town, George Town TAS 7253, Australia
About the event
Welcome to Tamar NRM’s 5th Catch it in the Catchment!
Where will you collect rubbish from this year?
You, your families, friends, workmates, schools, organisations, and clubs are invited to volunteer a small amount of time to clean up rubbish from the kanamaluka / Tamar estuary catchment.
Removing rubbish from our local neighbourhood will prevent it from making its way into the estuary and the ocean. Presented in proud collaboration with Clean up Australia, this event focuses on the health of our local catchment that flows to the kanamaluka / Tamar estuary.
Bring together a group of like-minded people, or join an existing group and be part of the solution by joining Tamar NRM’s Catch it in the Catchment in 2023.
Tasmanian Divers is proud to support this event by helping clean up the popular fishing spots out the front of George Town Yacht Club.
We will meet at the George Town Yacht Club at 9am on Saturday 11th November. The club has kindly offered to put on a sausage sizzle after the dive.
We will have more details released as we get closer to the event!
