About the event
Welcome to Tamar NRM’s 4th Catch it in the Catchment!
Where will you collect rubbish from this year?
You, your families, friends, workmates, schools, organisations, and clubs are invited to volunteer a small amount of time to clean up rubbish from the kanamaluka / Tamar estuary catchment.
So far, this Tamar Valley Community event has had over 1,000 participants remove nearly 2,000kg of rubbish from the places and spaces where we live, learn, work and play.
Removing rubbish from our local neighbourhood will prevent it from making its way into the estuary and the ocean. Presented in proud collaboration with Clean up Australia, this event focuses on the health of our local catchment that flows to the kanamaluka / Tamar estuary.
Bring together a group of like-minded people, or join an existing group and be part of the solution by joining Tamar NRM’s Catch it in the Catchment in 2022.
Tasmanian Divers is proud to support this event by helping clean up the popular fishing spots out the front of George Town Yacht Club.
We will have more details released as we get closer to the event!
