Test the Water

WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?

You learn the basic safety guidelines and skills needed to dive under the direct supervision of a PADI Professional along with the following:

  • Familiarise yourself with scuba equipment

  • How to set up equipment and use all the functions

  • Find out what it’s like to breathe underwater.

  • Learn key skills that you’ll use during every scuba dive.

  • Have fun swimming around and exploring

 

COURSE INCLUDES

  • Theory session

  • Gear hire

  • Pool session (2 hours)

  • Optional ocean dives x 2 (add $100)

  • Optional Upgrade to PADI Open Water Dive Course

The PADI Discover SCUBA Diving Course is conducted alongside one of our PADI Open Water Diver courses, so if at the end of your pool session you decide you had so much fun you can continue on with the Open Water students and gain your full Open Water certification, all you will need to do is pay a balance of $400 and work through the Open Water dive theory before the ocean dives commence.

PADI Discover SCUBA Diving Experience

Have you always wondered what it’s like to breathe underwater?

 

If you want to try SCUBA diving,
but aren’t quite ready to take the plunge into a certification course, Discover SCUBA Diving is for you.

​

Southern Tasmanian Divers offers this program in a pool with the option to dive in the ocean.

 

While not a scuba certification course, Discover SCUBA Diving
is a quick and easy introduction
to what it’s like to explore the underwater world.

​

To sign up for a PADI Discover SCUBA Diving Experience, you must be at least 12 years old. No prior experience with scuba diving is necessary, but you need to be in reasonable physical health.
